CHINA - Huang Shan | Monte Amarelo | Yellow Mountain
Huang Shan ou Monte Amarelo foi onde passei o primeiro dia do ano 2011. É uma das quatro montanhas budistas da China e com a companhia de três amigos decidimos escala-la para ver o nosso primeiro nascer do sol do seu topo! Foi uma grande aventura...desde um pôr do sol inesquecível, a escalada com o tempo mal contado e o hotel no topo da montanha que tivemos que encontrar no meio da noite por caminhos em que a única luz era a do visor de um nokia antigo, o jantar caríssimo que, por falta de dinheiro, dividimos uma dose individual por quatro, os 15 graus negativos, a subida ao topo às 4h da manhã para ver o nascer do sol que não chegou a existir por estar nublado, e a descida com um frio desumano em direcção a aldeias do século V...(tema do próximo post!). Foi a melhor passagem de ano de sempre...a calma e a liberdade que se sentem lá em cima são inesquecíveis e inexplicáveis...
Huang Shan or Yellow Mountain was where I spent the first day of the year 2011. It is one of the four Buddhist mountains in China and with three friends we decided to climb it to see our first sunrise from its top! It was a great adventure ... an unforgettable sunset, climbing in the middle of the night to reach the hotel through paths where the only light was the one on the screen of an old nokia, the expensive dinner that, for lack of money, we had to divide an individual portion by four, the 15 degrees below zero, climbing to the top at 4 am to see the sunrise that did not actually exist because of the cloudy weather, descending in a freezing cold towards the villages of 5th century. .. (subject of the next post!). It was the best New Year's Eve ever ... the calm and freedom that you feel up there are unforgettable and indescribable ...
